Simple Energy has introduced its first family electric scooter 'Simple Wave' in the Indian automobile market. The scooter is available in three major variants and six trims. Its starting price is Rs 1,09,999 (ex-showroom). The top-spec 'Simple Wave Plus' model gets a 5 kWh battery, an IDC range of 243 km and a top speed of 90 kmph. The delivery of this scooter will start from the last week of September 2026.

Huge storage capacity of 70 liters and great design

Keeping in mind the usability, this scooter has a storage space of as much as 70 liters, which is divided into three sections. This includes 63 liters of main space under the seats, a segment-first 4-litre 'Pill' auxiliary storage and a 3-litre glove box. Apart from this, the scooter gets a wheelbase of 1347 mm, a weight carrying capacity of 150 kg, a seat height of 775 mm and a ground clearance of 175 mm. This scooter can easily run in 300 mm deep water.

battery, Engine and range options

There are four battery options available for customers namely 5 kWh, 3.7 kWh, 2.7 kWh and 2.2 kWh. The 5 kWh battery gives a range of 243 km, while the 3.7 kWh battery gives a range of 171 km, the 2.7 kWh battery gives a range of 132 km and the 2.2 kWh battery gives an IDC range of 110 km. The top model has a 5 kWh battery mated to a 6.4 kW PMSM motor, which produces 179 Nm of torque.

Features, Display and charging facility

The scooter comes with a 7-inch TFT or 5-inch EBN display depending on the variant. Models with TFT screen get Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, GPS, call and music control and OTA updates. Apart from this, it also includes features like traction control, regenerative braking, hill-hold assist, reverse mode and LED lighting. Talking about charging, the scooter charges from 0 to 80 percent in just 2 hours and 15 minutes with the help of fast charging.

Fast growing network and bookings

Bookings for Simple Wave Scooter have started in more than 75 showrooms across the country. The company's current production capacity is 3,000 units per month and the company aims to increase its sales to 10,000 units per month by March 2027.
