Discussion has intensified in the auto sector regarding Toyota Glanza facelift. The reason for this is the recently launched 2026 Maruti Suzuki Baleno facelift. Level 2 ADAS and many new features have been added to the new Baleno with a 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine. Since the Toyota Glanza and Baleno are technically cars, the updated Glanza model is also expected to get some of these changes.

What is confirmed regarding Toyota Glanza facelift?

Toyota has not yet announced the official launch of the Glanza facelift in India. Therefore, its features and engine should be seen only as a possible update for now.

Current information from Autocar India suggests a possible launch for the Glanza facelift in October 2026. On the other hand, CarWale is giving a possible date of December 2026. That means the launch timeline cannot be considered fixed yet.

These features can be found in the new Baleno

Maruti Suzuki has added many technical and safety features to the 2026 Baleno along with a new grille and updated front bumper. These include Level 2 ADAS, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Advanced Emergency Braking and High Beam Assist. Six airbags and TPMS are also provided in the car.

Features like ventilated front seats, wireless charging and Clarion audio system have also been added to Baleno. If Toyota adopts similar upgrades to the Glanza, its feature package may change significantly compared to the current model. However, these features have not been confirmed in Glanza yet.

There may be a major change in the engine

The 2026 Baleno gets a new 1.2-litre Z12E three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine in place of the old 1.2-litre four-cylinder engine. It produces around 83 hp and 112 Nm and is available with a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT.

For this reason, there is a possibility of this engine coming in Glanza facelift also. But this cannot be considered as definite information until the engine specifications are officially confirmed by Toyota.

When will Toyota Glanza facelift be launched?

At present Toyota has not released the launch date. Available auto industry reports reveal varying estimates. Autocar India is citing a possible launch timeline of October 2026, while CarWale is estimating December 2026.

So the safest conclusion right now is that the Glanza facelift is a possible upcoming model, but its launch date, price, engine and feature list will be confirmed only after Toyota makes an official announcement.
