New Delhi. National Testing Agency (NTA) has wished all the best to the candidates appearing in the UGC NET 2026 examination. Posting on ‘X’, NTA wrote, “All the best to every candidate appearing for the UGC NET 2026 exam of English, Sociology and Commerce. Reach your center early, carry your admit card and a valid photo ID and follow the instructions. All the best.”
NTA UGC NET 2026 exam is being conducted from Wednesday to Thursday, in which the exam for English subject has been scheduled in the first shift on Wednesday. Whereas, the second shift is scheduled for commerce students. Sociology examinations will be conducted on Thursday.
Earlier on Tuesday, NTA had issued an important advisory for the candidates appearing in the re-examination of UGC NET June 2026 in Delhi. The agency had said that candidates should plan their travel in advance. NTA had said that there is a possibility of travel restrictions in the national capital on September 9 and 10, which could lead to longer road journeys and delays in reaching the examination centres.
In an advisory issued to candidates, the agency had urged all candidates to check their travel routes in advance, leave well in advance and keep adequate extra time to account for possible traffic restrictions, diversions or delays while reaching the scheduled examination centres.
NTA had said that candidates should make proper arrangements in advance and keep in mind the possibility of increase in travel time, so that they can reach their respective examination centers well before the reporting time and avoid any last-minute difficulties.
The re-examination of English, Commerce and Sociology subjects is being conducted at various examination centers across the country. As per the schedule, the re-exam is being conducted on September 9 and 10. The English exam is being conducted on Wednesday in the first shift from 9 am to 12 noon, while the commerce exam is scheduled in the second shift from 3 pm to 6 pm. The Sociology paper will be conducted on Thursday in the first shift from 9 am to 12 noon.
