Mumbai Bollywood actress Preity Zinta has spoken openly for the first time about the flop of her comeback film 'Bantwara 1947' at the box office. In a recent interview with 'Mid-Day', the actress said that she had no control over the film business. Still, he is extremely proud to be a part of this project. Preity Zinta returned to the big screen after almost eight years with this historical drama film directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. However, the film failed to attract the audience to the theaters on August 14, 2026 and proved to be a flop at the box office.

During the interview, when Preeti was asked about the poor performance of the film, she said, “I always keep my expectations limited. When I am in front of the camera, I give my 100 percent. I believe in karma, do your work and leave the rest to God. You have no control over what the outcome of the film will be.” She further said, “I give my whole life for every film. I gave my 1000 percent for this film too. Whatever may have been the business of the film, my experience as an artist was very wonderful.”

Shabana Azmi also expressed disappointment

Let us tell you that veteran actress 'Shabana Azmi', who played the lead role with Preity Zinta in this film, had also recently expressed grief over the flop of the film. He had said that he was surprised as to how the film failed so miserably at the box office despite receiving praise from critics.

Preity Zinta has now left behind the failure of 'Partition 1947' and is busy preparing for the release of her next action film 'Vibe'. Let us tell you that in this film she will be seen in the lead role of an undercover agent with Kunal Khemu. The film is set to release in theaters on 18 September 2026.
