Got many films after Fame Gurukul

After winning 'Fame Gurukul', the duo of Kazi Tauqeer and Ruprekha Banerjee released the album named 'Kazi-Ruprekha Jodi No.1' in November 2005. It included songs like 'Yeh Pal', 'Karun Kya', 'Hero' and 'Meri Mehbooba'.

Qazi did not want to be limited to just singing. He was also interested in acting. In an interview given to Siddharth Kannan in the year 2024, he had told that soon after the show ended, he started getting many acting offers.

Got an offer for a film, but couldn't make it

According to Qazi, he had received an offer to work in a film named 'Piya'. The film was being produced by Ahmed Khan and Bobby Khan and Sneha Ullal was the lead actress in it. Kazi was to be signed for the film, but later the project was stopped.

Ekta Kapoor also gave offer

At that time Qazi was only 19 years old. He had told that Ekta Kapoor also contacted him and narrated a script. Apart from this, Sony TV wanted to launch him as a rockstar in 'Kaisa Yeh Pyaar Hai'.

Due to receiving many offers simultaneously and being new to the industry, it became difficult for Kazi to take a decision. He did not have much understanding of professional deals and contracts. Qazi had told that later such reports also came in the media that he cheated Ekta Kapoor, while he himself was not aware that he had been signed.

After this Qazi remained away from limelight for about two to three years. During this period he kept getting many offers. He also worked in a film named 'Take Off', in which Rajpal Yadav was to be seen. The shooting of the film continued for a few days, but later this project was also stopped.

Seen in 'Afghan Jalebi'

In the year 2015, Qazi once again appeared in the Bollywood music space. He was seen in the video of the song 'Afghan Jalebi' from the film 'Phantom'. Katrina Kaif was also in this song.

Qazi had told that despite appearing in the video, he did not get credit in its description. However, thousands of people wrote his name in the comment section of the song. For Qazi, this was a sign that even after a long time, his fans had not forgotten him.

After this Kazi was not seen much in big projects. However, he remained connected with his fans through social media and YouTube.

In an interview given to Hindustan Times in 2018, Qazi had told that he is working on a serious project. He had said that this project is very important for him and that is why he was rejecting other offers.

A few years ago, he also told that he has written a script on Kashmir and is planning to make it as a film.
