Nani’s The Paradise is already going great guns at the North American Box Office. The movie had registered the fastest $150K ever and that too all of it is coming from a Single Theater Chain.
It looks like 1.5 Million Dollar Premiere is guaranteed and 2 Million Dollars is also likely. On the other hand, the makers are still deliberating the ticket prices.
Audiences are coming to theatres more frequently now and many feel reasonable ticket prices is one of the key reasons. So the makers are thinking if they should avoid the Price Hike.
But then, the movie is sold for massive prices in all areas on par with some Tier-1 Hero films. Buyers are of the opinion that a small hike of at least 50 Rupees in Single Screens and 75 Rupees in Multiplexes may help easing the recovery.
Also there is a third proposal. The Multiplex rates are currently 295. The proposal is to increase that to 350 Rupees while keeping Single Screen rates untouched. But then, the 55 Rupees Hike means the producer will get barely 25-30 Rupees after GST and Multiplex cut.
At the same time, the Producer should pay One Crore to the Government for Hikes. So they are thinking if that is worth.
