Tezzbuzz Desk – Filmmaker and actor Tigmanshu Dhulia is in the news these days about his upcoming film 'Ghamsaan'. Arshad Warsi and Prateek Gandhi will be seen in lead roles in the film. Now Tigmanshu Dhulia has made a big revelation regarding the casting of the film. He told that the role of the police officer with Prateek Gandhi was first offered to Shahrukh Khan.

The film was offered to Shahrukh Khan

In an interview given to Bollywood Hungama, Tigmanshu Dhulia told that after completing the script of 'Ghamasaan', he first narrated it to Shahrukh Khan. He wanted Shahrukh to play the character of Prateek Gandhi in the film.

Tigmanshu told that Shahrukh heard the entire story, but refused to do the film. According to him, Shahrukh had said that he does not do such realistic films.

Tigmanshu also mentioned his old friendship with Shahrukh. He told that both of them have known each other for a long time. Tigmanshu also played the role of Shahrukh's father in the film 'Zero'.

Arshad Warsi also understood Shahrukh's decision

During the interview, Arshad Warsi was also asked about Shahrukh's rejection of the film. Arshad said that he understands Shahrukh's decision. He jokingly said that he too would like to see Shahrukh in bigger and larger-than-life roles.

Arshad compared Shahrukh with Hollywood star Tom Cruise and said that if he plays a very realistic role, he will feel strange.

How is the story of 'Ghamsaan'?

In 'Ghamsaan', Arshad Warsi is playing the role of a dacoit named Maharaj. Prateek Gandhi will be seen in the role of STF Chief in the film. The trailer of the film has received good response from the audience.

The film is directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia. 'Ghamasaan' is scheduled to stream on OTT platform ZEE5 on September 11.
