Auraiya. A heart-wrenching incident has come to light from Auraiya district of Uttar Pradesh, where a husband allegedly killed his wife under the influence of alcohol. After committing the murder, the accused husband went straight to his father-in-law, handed him the keys of the house and informed him about this sensational incident.

Domestic dispute and drug addiction became the reason

According to the information received from the police, this incident took place in Patti Gyani village which comes under Bela police station area. The accused husband has been identified as Pramod Kumar, who was an alcoholic. There were frequent disputes in the house due to alcohol addiction.

Information given to father-in-law after the incident

Let us tell you that on Friday, September 4, 2026, at around 3 pm, the accused Pramod, in an intoxicated state, fatally attacked his wife, due to which she died on the spot. After committing the crime, the accused locked the main door of the house and went straight to his father-in-law in the field, where he confessed to the incident and handed over the key to him. When the family members reached home and opened the lock, the woman's body was found inside the room.

Police arrested the absconding accused

After committing the crime, the accused Pramod Kumar had fled from the spot, in search of whom the police were continuously raiding. Taking prompt action in this matter, Bela police station has arrested the accused today on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, near Bhadaura Mor. On the complaint of the deceased's father, the police have registered a case of murder and sent the accused to jail and the further legal process of the case is going on.
