Former cricketer Sadagopan Ramesh has raised questions on Harshit Rana's direct inclusion in Team India after his return from injury. He has demanded to implement similar rules for the players.

Former Indian cricketer Sadagopan Ramesh has raised questions on the selection of Harshit Rana and said whether BCCI is adopting different rules for different players. Ramesh expressed his views on this issue on his YouTube channel.

Ramesh said that Jasprit Bumrah has not played any red ball match since November last year, hence he is being advised to play India A match against New Zealand before selection. According to him, this decision is right because it is important to see the match fitness of the player.

But on the other hand, Harshit Rana, who returned from knee injury and surgery, was directly selected in the Indian team without playing any match. Ramesh questioned that if it is necessary for some players to prove fitness and match practice, then why was it not done in the case of Harshit Rana.

Demand for equal rules for players

Sadagopan Ramesh said that the selection rules should be the same for every player. Giving the example of Bumrah and Mohammed Shami, he said that even established players are being asked to prove their fitness, whereas Harshit was included in the team immediately after returning from injury.

Ramesh also said that no clear reason or clarification has come from BCCI in this matter. According to him, there should not be such a difference between the players.

The injury occurred after five T20 matches
