New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) chargesheet in the Red Fort blast case has revealed details of an alleged terror conspiracy that reportedly began in 2022 and continued for nearly three years before the attack.

According to the chargesheet, investigators have traced the development of the alleged module, including recruitment, radicalisation, financial support and preparations linked to the blast.

Conspiracy Allegedly Began In 2022

The NIA has claimed that the conspiracy started in early 2022 with efforts to revive a dormant terror network. The agency has identified Umer Un Nabi as a key accused, alleging that he played a central role in organizing the module and coordinating activities.

The probe agency stated that several accused allegedly operated across Jammu and Kashmir and the Delhi-NCR region, where secret meetings and other activities were carried out.

Funding, Weapons And Planning Under Scanner

The chargesheet details allegations of arrangements for finances, weapons and hideouts. Investigators have also examined the alleged movement of materials and preparations carried out before the attack.

The agency has named 11 accused in the case, including people from different professional backgrounds. Their alleged roles are being investigated as part of the larger conspiracy.

Investigation Reveals Details Of Blast

The NIA investigation states that the vehicle used in the attack was allegedly converted into an explosive device. Forensic findings and other evidence collected during the probe have been included in the chargesheet.

The blast near the Red Fort in November 2025 resulted in multiple casualties and triggered a major security investigation.

NIA Continues Probe Into Wider Network

The agency has said the chargesheet is based on evidence collected during the investigation, including digital material, forensic analysis and other findings. Further investigation into the alleged network and involvement of other individuals is continuing.
