Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav joined the program organized in Niwari on the occasion of Balram Agricultural Festival from New Delhi through video conferencing. Addressing the farmers, he emphasized on agricultural development, use of modern technologies and increasing the income of farmers.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav interacted with the farmers and discussed issues to agriculture. He said that the prosperity of farmers is the priority of the state government and continuous efforts are being made to provide the farmers the benefits of advanced technology, better facilities and government schemes.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav told the farmers present in the program that in the coming times, the agriculture sector is going to become a strong pillar of the state’s economy and the biggest guarantee of everyone’s prosperity. He asked the farmers to move ahead with a new beginning in milk production, grain production, fisheries, horticulture, whatever they are interested in. Our government is always standing with the farmers from field to factory. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that all the farmers should participate enthusiastically in this Balram Krishi Mahotsav.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the government has resolved to work continuously in the interest of farmers throughout the year through Kisan Kalyan Varsh. Increasing the income of farmers and making farming more profitable are among the top priorities of the government. He said that by increasing the use of new technology, improved seeds, modern agricultural equipment and scientific methods in the field of agriculture, farmers will get the benefit of increase in production and income.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that through events like Balram Krishi Mahotsav, farmers get the opportunity to communicate directly with agricultural scientists and get information to advanced agricultural equipment, innovative technologies and better agricultural production. Farmers are being encouraged to use modern agricultural equipment along with quality and improved seeds, which will reduce the cost of farming and increase production. He said that the state government is promoting natural and organic farming along with traditional agricultural methods. By adopting natural farming, farmers can produce quality produce at low cost.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the government is continuously working to provide basic facilities like irrigation and electricity to the farmers. Along with providing adequate power supply to the farmers, the necessary infrastructure in the agriculture sector is being strengthened. He said that the state government stands with the farmers in every situation and work is being done with sensitivity to solve the problems of the farmers.

Referring to various schemes run for the advancement of youth, women, poor and farmers, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the aim of the government is to connect every section of the society with the mainstream of development. The rural economy is being strengthened by promoting agriculture, animal husbandry, tourism and other employment-oriented activities in rural areas. Efforts are also being made to empower the villagers economically through schemes to cowshed and animal husbandry. He appealed to the farmers to adopt modern technologies by taking guidance from agricultural scientists and experts of the Agriculture Department and make maximum use of natural farming, improved seeds and modern agricultural equipment.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the year 2026 is being celebrated as Farmer Welfare Year in the state. Under Kisan Kalyan Varsh, various programs and activities are being conducted in the interest of farmers. Farmers are being provided loan facility at zero percent interest. The loan repayment period for Kharif and Rabi crops was fixed at 6 months each, which has now been increased to one year. Now the farmer will be able to repay the loan within a period of one year from the date on which he takes the loan. Seeds have been provided on subsidy to 2.5 crore farmers in the state.

In the program, in the presence of Chairman Apex Bank Bhopal Administrator Mahendra Singh Yadav, State Incharge Balram Krishi Mahotsav Kapil Darde and MLA Niwari Anil Jain, MP representative Rajesh Pateria, Collector Jamuna Bhide, Superintendent of Police Dr. Rai Singh Narwaria and other guests, conservation farming was given to farmer Udaybhan Kushwaha of Devendrapura resident, medicinal farming to farmer Satish Banshkar of Patharam, private custom hiring to farmer Suresh Kumar Sahu of Tarichar Kalan. Kuldeep Singh Dangi of Madiya Khas was awarded e-farm equipment grant, farmer Arvind Ghosh of Tila was awarded Dairy Plus, farmer Surendra Kumar Yadav of Sujanpura was awarded cow-friendship scheme, Lalaram Sutrakar, farmer of Chachawali, was awarded natural farming and Kailash Narayan Kevat, resident of Thauna, was awarded for fish seed production. Also Government Girl U.Ma. V Niwari student Ku. Shivani Kushwaha was honored for securing 9th position in the state’s proficient list in class 10th examination and the meritorious students of the district were honored.
