After smartphones in the world of electric vehicles, now Xiaomi is also strengthening its grip in the automobile sector. The company has introduced the Skynomad SUV range in China, which includes the N70 and N90 models. Interestingly, these vehicles are based on Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) technology and are claimed to provide a range of up to 1,705 km from a single charge and combined use of fuel.
The Skynomad range has a total of 4 variants including 5-seater, 7-seater and mobile studio configurations. The N70 Pro has a starting price of RMB 209,900 i.e. around Rs. 29.66 lakhs. While the top-spec N90 Max Studio is priced at RMB 299,900 which is approximately Rs. 42.38 lakhs.

The Xiaomi N70 Pro has a 52 kWh LFP battery that offers a CLTC electric range of up to 351 km. The combined range is claimed to be up to 1,351 km. The N70 Max gets dual-motor AWD and a 76 kWh battery. The electric range of this variant is 505 km, while the combined range is 1,461 km. It takes just 5.5 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph.
The larger N90 Max has a 7-seater layout with a length of 5,285 mm and a wheelbase of 3,080 mm. This model has a 76 kWh battery and gets a range of 464 km electric and 1,705 km combined. The top N90 Max Studio features features like electric lifting roof, sleeping platform and 220V power outlet.

Skynomad is also impressive in terms of features. A large touchscreen, rear screen, refrigerator and a 25-speaker audio system come with LiDAR, millimeter-wave radar and driving assistance technology based on the NVIDIA Thor-U chip. N70 has 9 airbags, while N90 Max has 12 airbags. Currently, this range has been introduced in China, but no official information has come out regarding the launch in India.
