In this matter, Ishaan broke the record of former Indian batsman Raman Lamba, who had scored 320 runs for North Zone against West Zone in the 1987 final.

Ishaan broke 39 years old record
Raman Lamba had scored 320 runs in the first innings of the Duleep Trophy final played in Bhilai in 1987. He did not get a chance to bat in the second innings. At the same time, Ishaan performed brilliantly in both the innings and scored a total of 350 runs. Earlier, he had also held the record of playing the highest individual innings by a wicketkeeper-batsman in Duleep Trophy.

East Zone’s victory almost certain
In the second innings, Ishaan made an important partnership of 126 runs with Shikhar Mohan for the third wicket. Shikhar, playing his first Duleep Trophy match, scored 52 runs in the second innings. Earlier, he had played an inning of 85 runs in the first innings. On the basis of Ishaan’s brilliant batting, East Zone’s total lead has reached 584 runs and it has five wickets left.
