Students who topped the Bihar Board Matric and Intermediate examinations, along with their parents, were honored today by Bihar's Deputy Chief Minister, Samrat Chaudhary. According to details shared by the board, the ceremony took place at 'Neek Samvad' in Patna on September 9, 2026, starting at 12:00 PM.

**Cash awards for students securing 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and up to 10th positions**
The Bihar government honored a total of 168 students who secured positions ranging from 1st to 10th place. Students were awarded varying cash amounts based on their ranks:

*   **First Position:** Students securing the 1st rank received ₹2 lakh.
*   **Second Position:** Students securing the 2nd rank were awarded a cash prize of ₹1.5 lakh.
*   **Third Position:** Students securing the 3rd rank were awarded ₹1 lakh.
*   **Cash awards for 4th to 10th positions:** Students who secured ranks between 4th and 10th in Class 10 (Matric) received a cash prize of ₹20,000, while those securing ranks between 4th and 10th in the Intermediate examination received ₹30,000.

**Additional ₹51,000 for laptops**
In addition to the cash prizes, all topper students were given an extra ₹51,000 by the Deputy Chief Minister. These funds are intended for the purchase of a laptop.

**Who attended the event?**
Apart from Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Ministers Bijendra Prasad Yadav and Vijay Kumar Chaudhary attended the event to honor the students and their families. The program was presided over by Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari.
