Sehwag and Warner top the list of fastest 1000 Test runs scored against Pakistan with 11 innings each. Usman Khawaja and Brook have achieved this feat in 14-14 innings. After this comes the names of Sangakkara and Ponting, who completed 1000 runs in 15 innings.

On the first day of the Edgbaston Test, England scored 156 runs for four wickets in reply to Pakistan's 133 runs. By the end of the day's play, England had a lead of 23 runs and Brook was present at the crease.
