Mumbai, September 10, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)
The trailer of the upcoming dramedy Waiting has been unveiled, offering a glimpse into a high-stakes cat-and-mouse chase led by actors Divyenndu and Bhuvan Arora.
Set in Patna, the series revolves around a clever hack that sets off a chain of events, gradually turning an apparently simple scheme into a much bigger scam.
Divyenndu plays Sugam Mishra, a railway constable struggling to settle into a demanding new job while dealing with a difficult boss and complications in his personal life. Bhuvan Arora portrays Afroz Hamsa, a tech whiz who discovers a way to beat the system.
The trailer brings the two characters into direct conflict as Sugam attempts to uncover a scam that continues to grow beyond its original scope.
Amogh Dusad, Director and Head of AVOD Content at Prime Video India, said the series takes the familiar struggle of securing a railway ticket and builds an entertaining scam-driven story around it. He described the show as rooted in everyday life while combining humor, emotion and unpredictable situations.
Divyenndu said Sugam appealed to him because he is not a conventional police character who has everything figured out. The actor said he enjoyed exploring the character's attempt to balance his professional challenges with his personal and newly married life.
Bhuvan Arora said he was drawn to Afroz because of the character's contradictions. While Afroz has a good heart, he finds himself making questionable choices, giving the role an interesting complexity. Arora also highlighted Afroz's equation with Mamaji, played by Vijay Maurya, and said the real-life inspiration behind parts of the story added to its appeal.
Series director Sameer Vidwans said he has always been interested in stories rooted in everyday life that reveal a larger world beneath the surface. He described Waiting as an opportunity to combine an unusual premise and layered characters with humor, tension and intrigue.
Directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Sameer Vidwans, the series also stars Harshita Gaur, Kumud Mishra, Vijay Maurya, Srushti Tare and Sunita Rajwar in pivotal roles.
Produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Ajay Rai, Waiting will begin streaming on Prime Video from September 16.
