At last, when Ravana himself moved forward to remove Angad’s foot, Angad stopped him and said, “Hold Lord Ram’s feet instead of my feet.” This incident is remembered as an example of Angad’s strength, self-confidence and unwavering loyalty towards Lord Rama.

Even Bhima could not lift Hanumanji’s tail.

The incident of meeting of Bhima and Hanuman ji in Mahabharata is also a very famous story to power and ego. During his exile, Bhima, while out in search of a fragrant flower for Draupadi, sees an old monkey, whose tail is lying on the path. Bhima asks him to move out of the way. The monkey replies that he is old and cannot remove the tail himself, so Bhima should remove it and move ahead. Bhima, who was confident in his strength, tried to lift the tail first with one hand and then with both hands, but it did not budge. Then Bhima realized that this was not an ordinary monkey. Later the monkey showed his true form and told that he was Hanumanji himself. Hanuman ji explained to Bhima that despite having immense power, one should not be arrogant. This same incident even today gives the message of importance of humility more than power.

There have also been claims that the statue is about 1000 years old, but the final scientific proof of its age is yet to be revealed.
