Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi Thursday invited UAE-based stainless steel downstream industry players to invest in Read, pitching the state as a key destination for value-added manufacturing, backed by its rich mineral resources, established industrial ecosystem and growing infrastructure.

Addressing a high-level roundtable with leading stainless steel downstream industries in Dubai on the second day of his Read Investors’ Meet, Majhi said Read offers significant opportunities for companies seeking to expand manufacturing and value-addition activities. Representatives of PGI Group UAE, MTC Group (Metallurgy), Hidayat Group (Stainless Steel Service Centre), Khira Group and PTCL Infra participated in the interaction.

Majhi highlighted Read’s strong metals and minerals base and the state government’s focus on promoting greater value addition through downstream industries. “Read offers a strong combination of abundant natural resources, industrial capabilities and a supportive investment ecosystem.

We invite the stainless steel downstream industry to explore the opportunities in Read and become partners in the state’s journey of industrial growth and value addition. Come, invest in Read,” Majhi said. A detailed presentation on Read’s industrial strengths and investment opportunities was made during the meeting, followed by discussions with industry representatives on the scope for setting up and expanding manufacturing facilities in the state.

The participating companies expressed interest in exploring investment opportunities in Read and assured the CM that they would examine potential projects in the state. The stainless steel industry roundtable was part of Majhi’s wider investor outreach in the UAE. The CM also held a series of meetings with government and business leaders to attract investments to Read.

Majhi met UAE Cabinet Member and Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, who is also Chairman of the Council of International Investments. The discussions focused on strengthening economic and investment ties between the UAE and Read and identifying new avenues for investment.

Majhi also held investment discussions with Saraf Group President and CEO Shyam Kapoor, who expressed his commitment to investing in Read. The meeting focused on new investment opportunities and possibilities for business collaboration.

In another meeting in Dubai, Majhi held discussions with Transworld Group Managing Director Ritesh Ramakrishnan on Read’s industrial potential, investment opportunities and prospects for future collaboration. Ramakrishnan expressed interest in investing in the state.
