A new hands-on video for the Honor Magic 9 Pro Max has appeared on Weibo. It gives people a clear view of the phone ahead of the official release. The clip was posted on Weibo, and Gizmochina picked it up for wider coverage.

From what the video shows, the device comes in Moss Green. You can also see more of the camera area than in the usual teaser shots.

This leak does not really shift the main launch timeline. Honor has already said the Magic 9 line will debut in China on September 28. So this new footage feels more like extra proof of the same design direction already shown in earlier official materials.

Moss Green Looks Different In Real Life

The first thing that stands out is the Moss Green color. Honor already shared this shade in its ads, but the leaked video shows it on a real unit, under normal lighting.

The back has a wide rectangular camera section near the top. Inside that area are large round rings around the lenses. The layout looks like a change from the Magic 8 style, where the cameras were tied to a big circular module.

Honor says the new camera setup was inspired by ARRIFLEX 35. The idea is tied to the three-lens turret look. Honor also keeps its link with ARRI for the Magic 9 Pro Max, and that continues the push into cinema-grade imaging for its phones.

Dual 200MP Cameras Steal the Spotlight

The Magic 9 Pro Max camera setup is still the main topic in early hands-on chatter. Footage that has surfaced points to a 200MP primary camera. It is said to use a 1/1.28-inch sensor, an f/1.57 lens, and optical image stabilization.

A second 200MP sensor is also mentioned. The claim is that it sits behind the periscope telephoto module. That part is said to come with a 1/1.4-inch sensor. These numbers have been repeated in more than one report. Still, Honor has not shared a full spec list. So these details are not final. Honor Has Hinted at More Than Just the Phone

Honor has been teasing a wider camera add-on setup for this model. Some reports say the brand is working on 200mm and 500mm teleconverter accessories. The 500mm option is suggested to give the Pro Max a far longer reach for photos.

Other Parts Look Familiar

The same hands-on video has led to talk about the rest of the design. People are pointing to very slim bezels. There are also mentions of matching speaker grilles. Another claim is a square sensor for the selfie camera.

None of this should be treated as confirmed. Gizmochina, for instance, points to about 1mm bezels, a stereo speaker layout, and that square selfie sensor. But it is all based on the leaked look.  What Seems to Carry Over.

The front design also appears to match the last generation in one way. The pill-shaped opening is still there. It holds the selfie camera. It also includes the 3D depth sensing hardware.

Final Specs Will Come Later. Honor is expected to post the rest of the details at launch. That means items like the full camera lineup, display specs, processor, battery, and price should be kept in a separate bucket for now. Right now, we only have what leaks suggest.
