Dadraul Assembly: Dadraul assembly seat of Shahjahanpur was once dominated by SP and BSP, but in the last few elections, BJP has captured it so much that now the question is – will the lotus bloom in 2027 also or will SP be able to break into this political fort with the help of PDA? At present, BJP seems to have the upper hand in the politics of Dadraul. BJP's Manvendra Singh won in 2017 and 2022. After this, his son Arvind Singh won the 2024 by-election and retained BJP's control.

The claim of sitting BJP MLA Arvind Singh is currently considered strong. BJP is considering the development and infrastructure works done in the area as a big issue behind its strong position. The party is counting the construction of Ganga Expressway, four lane road from Bareilly Mod to Jalalabad and other roads as its achievements. Current MLA Arvind Singh claims that his family's public service has maintained the public's trust.
At the same time, SP is counting on the equation of PDA i.e. backward, Dalit and minority votes in 2027. The party claims that its support base has increased and if the social equation unites then BJP can be given a tough challenge. However, the biggest challenge before SP is to have a strong and universally accepted face.
Now if we talk about the caste mathematics of Dadraul, there are more than 3.25 lakh voters here. Of these, about 58 thousand Dalits, 57 thousand other OBCs, 55 thousand Kshatriyas, 53 thousand Lodhis and 32 thousand Muslim voters are said to be. These vote banks can play an important role in deciding the direction of the elections.
The ticket race is also interesting. The name of current MLA Arvind Singh is considered to be the strongest in BJP, while the names of JPS Rathore and Rajesh Verma are also being discussed. At the same time, many faces including former minister Awadhesh Verma are said to be in contention in SP.

At present, BJP seems strong on the ground, but if SP is successful in bringing the PDA equation to the ground, then the contest can be very tough.
