Senior all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been named in India A’s squad for the three-match one-day series against Australia A in October, subject to attaining full fitness, the BCCI announced. The 32-year-old has been out of competitive action since the previous IPL season after struggling with a quadriceps injury.
The Australia A tour will begin with two multi-day matches in Puducherry from September 22 and 29, followed by three one-dayers on October 6, 9 and 11 at the same venue. Devdutt Padikkal will lead the multi-day side, while Ruturaj Gaikwad will captain the one-day team.
Sai Sudharsan has been named vice-captain of the multi-day squad after recovering from a foot injury. The one-day squad also includes Priyansh Arya, Rajat Patidar, Kumar Kushagra, Nishant Sindhu, Vipraj Nigam, Arshin Kulkarni, Arshad Khan, Naman Dhir and Prabhsimran Singh.
The India A series will overlap with India’s three-match ODI series against the West Indies, scheduled for September 27, 30 and October 3.
