Bangladesh has had to pay a heavy price for using tanks made in China. A Chinese tank being used by Bangladesh Army suddenly exploded during a training exercise. Two soldiers died in this accident. The blast occurred when the soldiers were practicing firing from inside the tank. This incident has once again raised serious questions on the quality and safety standards of military weapons made in China.

According to the information, this accident happened on Wednesday during a military exercise at the field firing range in Hathazari, Chittagong, Bangladesh. The tank in which the explosion took place is said to be a 'Type 59' tank made in China. During the military exercise, as soon as the Chinese tank of Bangladesh Army opened fire, it caught fire. Two Bangladeshi soldiers died on the spot and an army officer was seriously injured in the massive explosion caused by the bullet exploding inside the barrel of the tank.

A video of this incident that took place in Chittagong, Bangladesh has also surfaced. Because of this, this incident has become a topic of discussion on social media. It is seen in the video that as soon as the soldiers took aim and pressed the trigger of the Chinese-made tank, the entire tank immediately turned into a big ball of fire. It was not an enemy or missile attack. According to initial information, due to a defect in the barrel of the tank, the bullet exploded inside the tank instead of going outside. Due to this huge explosion, both the soldiers did not even get a chance to recover and they died on the spot.

Interestingly, this accident has happened at a time when Bangladesh has expressed its desire to participate in the 'Defense Pact' with Pakistan, Turkey and Saudi Arabia. Bangladesh Army's Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has said that necessary steps are being taken to find out the exact cause of the tank blast. The exact reason for the accident is not clear yet. It is being verified. Meanwhile, the army officer injured in the blast has been airlifted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka for further treatment.
