Dubai. The Indian Women's Team has booked its ticket to the final by defeating Bangladesh in the semi-finals of the Women's Asia Cup 2026. In the match played at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, India scored 149 runs on the basis of Shefali Verma's stormy innings of 64 runs. In response, Bangladesh women's team could score only 109 runs after losing 6 wickets in 20 overs. The team led by Harmanpreet Kaur won the match by 40 runs.
The second semi-final will be played between Pakistan and Sri Lanka on Friday (11 September). The team that wins this match will play the final against India on 13 September. While Shefali Verma created havoc with the bat, Deepti Sharma was brilliant in bowling. The star all-rounder took 3 wickets for 25 runs in 4 overs. At the same time, Nandini Sharma took 2 wickets for 10 runs. For Bangladesh, Shorna Akhtar scored the maximum 22 runs and remained unbeaten till the end. Star batsman Shefali Verma, who played a explosive inning of 64 runs in 40 balls, was chosen as 'Player of the Match'. This is the fourth consecutive victory of the Indian women's team in Asia Cup 2026. Earlier in the group stage, India had badly defeated Thailand, Hong Kong and Pakistan.
