New Delhi, 11 September 2026: Leaders from all over the world are coming to New Delhi for the 18th BRICS Summit to be held on 12 and 13 September. In this context, Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) President Jin Likun reached New Delhi and was given a warm welcome. According to news organization IANS, this visit is being seen as an important step towards sustainable development, strengthening mutual partnerships and creating new opportunities for emerging economies.
External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Ranadhir Jaiswal had confirmed his arrival through a post on social media platform 'X'. The ministry had said in its post, “A warm welcome is given to Jin Liqun, President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), who has arrived in New Delhi for the 18th BRICS Summit. His visit will help in accelerating sustainable development, strengthening mutual partnerships and creating new opportunities for emerging economies.”
