Israel Hezbollah Conflict: The Israeli army has claimed to have targeted and destroyed a large tunnel network of Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. According to the army, a large amount of explosives were used to destroy this tunnel which was more than 2 kilometers long. After the blast, strong tremors were felt in the surrounding areas.

Weapons and military items found in the tunnel

According to the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), this underground complex contained rockets, missiles, drones, machine guns, anti-tank weapons and a large number of explosives. The army claimed that it was the command center of Hezbollah’s ‘Badr’ unit, from where military activities were conducted.

The network was ready in 20 years

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed that it took nearly two decades to prepare this tunnel network. Israel alleges that Iran’s financial help was involved in its construction. The Israeli Defense Minister has called it part of the terrorist structure.

IDF released video inside the tunnel

The Israeli Army has released a video of the tunnel network built under Ali al-Taher hill. According to the army, many Hezbollah fighters were hiding here after the ceasefire. Many fighters have been claimed killed during the operation.

Tension increases again in southern Lebanon

Tension has increased in recent days in southern Lebanon following clashes between Israel and Hezbollah. Israel says it is taking action to protect its own security, while Lebanese officials have expressed concern about increasing attacks in the region.
