Auspicious time for installation of Ganesh

This year Ganesh Chaturthi is on 14 September. The auspicious time for Ganpati Sthapana and puja in New Delhi will be from 11:02 am to 1:31 pm. Rahukaal is from 7:57 am to 9:29 am, so do not establish during this time.

What should be the idol of Ganapati?

A Ganesh idol of about 7 to 10 inches is considered suitable for installation in the house. It is considered better if the trunk of the idol is bent towards the left. Special rules are followed in the worship of Dakshinavarti i.e. the idol with the trunk turned towards the right.
