LAHORE: Mahnoor Safdar, the daughter of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, is set to marry Azaan Jabbar, son of businessman Jabbar Khalid, according to family sources.

The nikah ceremony is scheduled to take place on September 12 at 5pm at Jati Umra. The event is expected to be a private family gathering, with only close relatives and members of the Sharif family attending.

Azaan Jabbar is the son of businessman Jabbar Khalid, who is associated with the flour mill sector.

Mahnoor Safdar and Azaan Jabbar both studied at SOAS University of London, where they completed their higher education.

Preparations for the nikah have reportedly been completed, while the ceremony is expected to remain a low-key affair without a large public gathering.

The marriage comes shortly after Mahnoor completed her university education in London. Maryam Nawaz recently attended her daughter’s graduation ceremony and expressed happiness over the achievement.

The Punjab chief minister described her daughter’s graduation as a particularly joyful moment for the family.

The wedding ceremony is expected to be attended by close family members, with the family choosing to keep the occasion private.
