  • tamarind
  • jaggery
  • Peanut butter
  • Sesame seeds
  • Green chillies
  • curry leaves
  • salt
  • Red chillies
  • Turmeric
  • garam masala

Ganeshotsav 2026 : How to Make Perfect 'Ukdi Modak' for Bappa's Arrival

Action:

  • To make sour and spicy panchamrut first, soak tamarind in hot water. After 10 minutes, remove the tamarind pulp by hand.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, asafoetida, curry leaves, green chilies pieces and fry on low flame.
    After the chillies are roasted properly, add tamarind gar and mix. After the tamarind mixture comes to a gentle boil
  • Add roasted groundnut paste, roasted sesame paste and mix.
  • Then add red chilli, turmeric, garam masala, coriander powder and mix well. Add salt to taste in the prepared mixture.
  • Then add jaggery to the prepared mixture and cover it. After the mixture thickens gradually, turn off the flame and add finely chopped coriander on top.
  • Sour Spicy Panchamrit made in easy way is ready. This dish is made mandatory for Bappa's prasadam.
