In today's time, the Aadhar card has become an important document, which is used extensively in banking, education and government schemes. If there is an error in your Aadhaar information or you want to update some details, you can do it online or offline. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), the government agency that issues Aadhaar, allows you to update Aadhaar information online.
Online way to update Aadhaar :
Visit UIDAI website (https://uidai.gov.in).
Click on the 'My Aadhaar' tab.
Select the option 'Update your service'.
Click on the link 'Update Address in your Aadhaar'.
Through this link, you can update Aadhaar details and address.
Click on the login option. Enter your Aadhaar number and captcha code to log in.
After login, an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. Enter OTP.
After logging in, you will get the option to update the address.
Fill in the new address details and upload the required documents.
Click on Submit and make the required fee payment.
After fee payment, a Service Request Number (SRN) will be generated.
You can track the Aadhaar update request using SRN.

Get Aadhaar updated for free
Till March 14, UIDAI is providing the facility to update Aadhaar documents for free. However, mobile registration is required even for this free service. Go to the Aadhaar update section, click on the document update option, and complete the process by uploading supporting documents like ID and address proof.
Apart from this, you can also update biometric details like photo, iris, fingerprint and change or register your mobile number and other demographic details by visiting the Aadhaar Seva Kendra.
