New Delhi. Meta has included a new feature in WhatsApp, which will now make it easier for users to search messages than before. Now through this new feature, users will be able to search messages directly by entering the date. In such a situation, they will not have to search multiple chats to find a certain message. The search by date feature of WhatsApp has now been made available on all platforms and you can start using it.
Through this new WhatsApp search by date feature of WhatsApp, users can now select a date and skip the rest of the messages sent after that date. To use this feature, you will have to open any group or chat. After this you will have to click on that profile. As soon as the profile is opened here, users will see the Search option on the left side.
After this, after going to the search, a calendar icon will be visible on the right side of the profile. The calendar will open as soon as you tap on it. Now you just have to select the date whose messages you want to read. By doing this, all the messages of that date will be visible to you.
Released for Android
This feature has now been released for Android devices and is already available for iOS, Mac desktop and WhatsApp Web. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has announced this feature by sharing a video in his WhatsApp channel.
Till now, to search messages you had to enter keywords in WhatsApp. In such a situation, when that keyword was entered in the search, the same message was visible. But, now searching messages has become even easier with the calendar option. Apart from messages, shared media, links and document files can also be searched in chats.
