Till now the deadline was till 14th March, which was extended to 14th June only yesterday. You should update your Aadhar card before this date. Last year also UIDAI had extended the deadline. Before March 14, the last date to update Aadhaar card for free was December 14. Which was extended to 14 March. How to update?

You can update your Aadhar card yourself. For this you will have to go to the official website of UIDAI. To update Aadhaar online yourself, your mobile number must be linked to Aadhaar. Otherwise you will not be able to login. You can update only your address for free. If you want to update your photo, iris or fur biometric details, then you will have to pay a charge for it. You can update Aadhaar by following the steps given below.

  • First of all you have to go to myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/.
  • After entering the website, you have to login by entering your 12 digit Aadhaar number, verifying the OTP.
  • After login, you will have to go to the Aadhaar update option and proceed for the update.
  • Now you can update your address. After this you will have to upload supporting documents.
  • After this you will have to click on submit and get the receipt. After completion of the process, your Aadhar card will be updated within 30 days.
