A new feature is coming soon for WhatsApp users. After the introduction of this feature, users will be able to make payments while chatting. With the addition of this feature in Meta’s instant messaging and payment app, users will be able to scan the QR Code from the chat window i.e. the main screen and make payments. Users will not have to leave the app to make UPI payment. This feature will work like the feature of PhonePe and Paytm, in which users make payment by scanning the QR code from the gallery of their smartphone.
This feature of WhatsApp is currently seen in beta version. After the introduction of this feature, users will not have to open multiple windows to make UPI payment. They will be able to make payment by scanning the QR Code from the chat list itself. However, to use this feature, users will have to enable the UPI feature with their WhatsApp.
Use WhatsApp UPI feature like this
To use this feature, users will first have to connect their bank account with the app.
Keep in mind that the bank account number of the users should be linked to their WhatsApp account.
After this users will be able to set up WhatsApp UPI payment.
After the UPI account is setup, users will be able to make payments through WhatsApp like other UPI apps.
How will QR Code Scan feature work?
After the introduction of QR Code scanning feature, users will be able to make UPI payment while chatting with any user. For this, users will have to tap on the QR code found in the chat. On tapping, it will give the option of WhatsApp UPI. Users will then be able to make UPI payment using the instructions given on the screen.
