How to update your number

To link your number with your Aadhaar card, you will have to visit the Aadhaar Enrollment Center as this cannot be done online. You can find the address of your nearest center on the UIDAI website. Then, you will be given an update form at the Aadhaar center, where you will have to provide information about which number you want to link to Aadhaar. After submitting the form, you will have to provide your biometrics, and then your application will be accepted.

You will be given a receipt with an update request number, which you can use to track your status. It may take more than a month for your number to be linked to Aadhaar. After linking your number with Aadhaar, you will start receiving Aadhaar OTP on your number.
