Meta-owned instant messaging app WhatsApp is working on a new feature. Although WhatsApp's UPI payment was launched many years ago, it has not become popular in India yet. Now it seems that WhatsApp is getting serious about its payment service.
We are saying this because WhatsApp is now preparing for a new update after which a shortcut will be available for UPI payment. QR code will appear in this shortcut. Users will be able to scan the QR code and make payments by directly clicking on the QR code icon.
This new feature of WhatsApp can be seen in beta version 2.24.7.3 of Android. WhatsApp beta users can make payments by scanning the QR code from the shortcut button. This shortcut button of the QR code will be found next to the camera icon on the left.
Will be able to share 1-minute video in the status
WhatsApp has released a new update for beta users after which they are able to upload videos of up to 1 minute in status. At present, only 30 seconds of video is uploaded in WhatsApp status, but after the new update, it will be of 1 minute.
