That means you will be able to lock chats on multiple devices simultaneously. This update has been seen in Android beta version 2.24.8.4 of WhatsApp. Meta plans to expand this feature to improve security and privacy protections on WhatsApp.

WhatsApp feature tracker WABetaInfo has given information about the new feature. The feature tracker claimed that WhatsApp is working on a locked chat feature for linked devices and it will be available in a future update.

The publisher has spotted the upcoming feature in the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.8.4 update, which is available through the Google Play Beta program. For this, users will have to go to Chat Lock Settings>Secret Code option and set the secret code from the primary device.

What is WhatsApp Chat Lock?

WhatsApp's chat lock feature allows users to keep chats private as per their wish. That means this is a very special feature for security and privacy. If users want to keep a chat personal, i.e. someone uses your WhatsApp, but you want to lock a particular chat, then this feature gives this facility to the users. Users can also use fingerprint, face unlock, and password to lock chats. But now WhatsApp is expanding the feature and releasing it for other devices as well.
