What is WhatsApp Chat Filter?

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has informed about the launch of the chat filter feature. After this feature, you will be able to easily filter all the messages. Due to this feature, the time taken to open a chat will be reduced. The company is giving you the option to filter different chats.

The reason for releasing this feature is to make it easier for people to access different WhatsApp chats. Till now you had to scroll through chats in any WhatsApp group and inbox for unread messages. Now you will get filters for this, so that you will be able to see group chats in one place.

How does this feature work?

WhatsApp has introduced three default filters so that you can access the right conversations. First of all, you have to open WhatsApp on an iOS or Android smartphone. Make sure that your WhatsApp is updated. Now you have to click on the three filters given at the top.

At the top, you will get the option of All, Unread, and Groups. You will see all the chats in the All filter. By using a group filter, you will see all the groups. Similarly, if you select the filter of Unread Chats, then all those chats that you have not read will be visible.
