The police was informed about the disappearance of the deceased four days ago by his wife. He had accused his father-in-law i.e. the father of the deceased of murder. The police detained him on suspicion. When interrogated, the accused confessed to the murder and burning the body. At present the accused has not revealed the reason for committing the murder. This incident has spread sensation in the area.

This hair-raising incident took place in village Ganeshpur of Mitoli police station area of the district. Neelam Devi, a resident of this place, had complained to the police on April 20. Neelam had told that her husband Vijendra Kumar was missing for many days. She had accused her father-in-law Ram Nakshatra of making her husband disappear. The police took Ram Nakshatra into custody and interrogated him. He told the police that his son Vijendra had died. His dead body was burnt and the ashes were thrown into a nearby pond.

The police recovered the bones from the pond at the behest of the accused. They have been sent for investigation. Mitoli police station incharge Raju Rao told that the father and son used to consume alcohol. There used to be disputes in the house every day. There used to be fights between husband and wife over this issue. On the day of Holi, there was a fight between husband and wife, due to which wife Neelam got angry and went to her parents' house with her children. After that there was a dispute between father and son at home and the father killed the son. His body was burnt in the field and the ashes were thrown into the village pond to destroy the evidence.
