LIC Fraud Waring: Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) on Wednesday warned people against certain individuals/institutions involved in giving fraudulent advertisements on social media platforms by misusing the photographs of senior officials, the company's brand name, and logo.
LIC has asked its policyholders and people on social media platform X to be cautious and check the authenticity of everything like this.

LIC cautioned
LIC said in a public notice, "It has come to our notice that certain individuals and entities are giving fraudulent advertisements on various social media platforms by misusing the photographs of our senior officers or former officers, our brand name, and logo without our consent. We would like to alert the public about such deceptive activities."

The notice also asked the public to provide information about the 'URL links' of such fraudulent advertisements on LIC's official social media accounts.
Action will be taken against fraud
LIC said, "We will take appropriate legal action against those found involved in fraudulent activities using our brand without permission."
The Corporation said that it is committed to ensuring that policyholders and the general public are not misled by such misleading advertisements.
