According to a report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is introducing two different shortcuts, making it easier for users to understand which stickers they can create. This feature is available for iOS beta testers and can be used in the updated version 24.9.10.74. According to the report, WhatsApp is redesigning the sticker creation icon to match its design.

What was the process before?

Earlier, users used to create AI-generated stickers in the same way as personalized stickers were created from photo libraries. However, this process sometimes created confusion, as users had to choose between two options through pop-up alerts.

WhatsApp had banned 80 lakh accounts in March 2024

According to reports, WhatsApp banned 7.9 million accounts in India between March 1 and March 31, 2024. In the recent monthly report, the platform announced that 1,430,000 accounts have been banned without any user reports. Additionally, the Meta-owned instant messaging app received 12,782 grievance requests during this period, of which the majority (6,661) were related to account bans.
