If the EPFO member's Aadhaar is not linked to his account and if he dies in the meantime, then the money in his PF account will be paid to the nominee on the basis of physical verification. However, for this the approval of the regional officer will have to be taken.
EPFO Claim Process: There is a relief news for the members of Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO). After the death of an EPFO member, the organization has changed the rules for easy withdrawal of money for his family. Under the new rule, if an EPFO member dies and his Aadhaar is not linked to his PF account or the details of his Aadhaar do not match with the details given with the PF account, then the account holder's money will still be paid to his nominee. Will be done. This means that after the death of an EPFO member, his family members will not have to wander much to withdraw his money.
There was a huge problem if the details did not match.
What actually happens is that after the death of a person, his Aadhaar number becomes inactive. If a person is a member of EPFO and if there is any mistake in his Aadhaar details, then after his death the officials had to face a lot of difficulty in matching his details due to which his nominee had to wait a long time for the PF money. But this will not happen now. Now after the death of the member, his PF money will be given to his nominee only on the basis of physical verification.
Regional officer's approval required
However, for this it will be mandatory to first obtain the approval of the regional officer. PF will not be paid without the approval of the officer. Under the new rule, the details of the nominee or family member will also be checked to ensure that the money goes into the hands of the right person, only after that the money will be paid.
However, this new rule will be applicable only when the Aadhaar details of the PF account holder are incorrect. If the member's information is not correct with EPFO UAN, then another process will have to be done for payment of money.
What if the name of the nominee is
Whereas if the name of the nominee is not in the EPFO member's account and if he dies, in that case the money will be paid to the legal heir of the deceased person, although for this he will have to submit his Aadhar card.
