The accused admitted during interrogation that the Bangladeshi MP was first strangled to death and then his body was cut into pieces. Police say that the entire conspiracy to 'murder' the MP was hatched while staying in Kolkata. The accused had come to Kolkata much before the murder. These people had planned the 'murder' while sitting in a hotel in Kolkata. MP Azim had come to India on 12 May. His purpose of coming to Kolkata was to get treatment there, but he could not return to Bangladesh and he was murdered in Kolkata itself.

According to CID sources, the accused had come to Kolkata at least 10 days before him and were staying at a hotel on Sadar Street near Dharmatala in Kolkata. According to the hotel records, two men named Faizal and Mustafizur were staying there since May 2. They were later arrested by Bangladesh Police in the 'murder' case. Both of them left the hotel on May 13, a day after Azim arrived in Kolkata.

Plan was made while staying in Kolkata hotel

Many people from Bangladesh stay in that hotel on Sadar Street. Bangladeshis keep coming and going in that area of ​​the city. Both the accused were staying in a common room without AC. They had told the hotel that they had come to Kolkata for treatment, the rent of the room in which they were staying was Rs 1200 per day.

Police officers are checking everything from CCTV footage to hotel registration book. The accused had paid the fare in cash while leaving from there. Didn't make online payment anywhere. Police suspect that the plan to murder the Bangladesh MP is quite old. Faizal and Mustafizur had reached Kolkata 10 days ago. When the work was completed, left the hotel.

Azim first came to Kolkata and stayed at a friend's house in Baranagar. He disappeared from there after two days. Police say that he was 'murdered' in a housing complex in New Town. However, his body has not been found yet. In this incident, the CID has also arrested a suspicious youth from West Bengal on Thursday. A total of four people have been arrested in this case.

CCTV footage revealed the secret of the killers

The investigating police officers claimed after questioning the accused that the body of the MP was cut into small pieces. After that, the bones and flesh were separated and turmeric was mixed. CCTV footage shows the MP going to the New Town residence on May 13 at 2:51 pm. He was accompanied by Amanullah alias Shimul, Faisal and Silasti.

Jihad and Siam, two hired accomplices of murder mastermind Akhtaruzzaman, were already in the house. After the MP arrived, another killer Mustafizur came there. Jihad and Siyam cut the body into pieces after the murder of the MP by Amanullah and his associates.

In the CCTV footage, Amanullah, Jihad and Siam were seen leaving three hours after the murder. Both had bags in their hands. A large part of the MP's body was in it. Siam and Jihad boarded an app cab from in front of a store near the residence. The police is trying to find out where the two have hidden the body parts by interrogating the app cab driver.

The body was cut into pieces and food was eaten

At night, Amanullah Silasti and others eat and drink in the flat. The rest of the MP's dead body was still wrapped in plastic. The next day Amanullah and others left the residence with the rest of the body. After disposing of the body parts, Silasti and Amanullah returned to Dhaka by plane on May 15. On April 30, both flew from Dhaka to Kolkata. Mustafizur returned to Dhaka from Kolkata on May 16. Faisal returned on the 18th.

The plan was made in Dhaka

The murder was planned in Dhaka about a month ago. Mastermind Shahin alias Akhtaruzzaman returned to Dhaka from Kolkata on May 10 after renting a house as per the pre-planned plan. After completing the operation, the mastermind fled to the United States via Kathmandu after the entire team returned to Bangladesh. Amanullah had prior acquaintance with the MP, as Amanullah was the leader of a terrorist organization of that country, with whom the killer MP had good relations.
