First of all, download and install WhatsApp on your second smartphone.
Then while setting up WhatsApp, when you are asked to enter your mobile number, click on the three vertical dots in the top right corner of the screen.
Then a new menu will open on your screen. Here you click on Link as companion device option.
After this, a new page will open on the smartphone screen, in which a QR code will be visible.
Then open WhatsApp on your primary smartphone.
Click on the three vertical dots in the top right corner of the home screen.
Then click on the Linked devices option from the menu.
Here click on Link a device option and confirm.
After this scan the QR code visible on your other device.
Then you will be able to use WhatsApp from the same number on both these devices.
