What to do
Be careful while sharing Aadhaar details. Do not share the mobile number linked to Aadhaar with anyone. Also, do not share details like bank account number, or passport, voter ID card, PAN, ration card, etc.
Instead of sharing your Aadhaar number with anyone, a UIDAI Virtual Identifier (VID) should be generated. You can easily generate VID. Please note that VID can be changed after a calendar day.
You can see your Aadhaar verification history for the last 6 months on the UIDAI website or mAadhaar app.
Many services can be enjoyed with OTP-based Aadhaar verification. Always keep your mobile number updated with Aadhaar.
UIDAI provides an Aadhaar biometric locking facility. It can be easily locked and unlocked.

What not to do
Do not share your Aadhaar letter/PVC card or its copy with any unknown person.
