According to sources, a second AI component is being developed (for a beta version) and will soon be made available to the general public on instant messaging platforms. Users will be able to create custom AI photos using the soon-to-come functionality.
Under the codename “Imagine,” WhatsApp has been testing this functionality, which will be based on Meta’s extensive language model. Users will have more flexibility to create pictures from text.

The new WhatsApp feature, which allows users to create photographs using AI inside the app, was spotted in Android version 2.24.12.4, according to a report submitted by WABetaInfo. The company posted a snapshot showing off a brand-new “Imagine” option for AI-generated images.

By simply pressing on the Imagine button under the attachment option, Beta users who have already gotten this new feature will be able to create fresh AI-generated photos. This new AI Imagine function has been introduced to the platform.
