Mark Zuckerberg, founder of social media company Meta, has made a new announcement related to verification in India. Mark has said that WhatsApp Business users will soon get the benefit of Meta Verified and this service is going to be rolled out in India soon. This means that soon the verification blue tick will start appearing in WhatsApp like Instagram and Facebook.
Mark informed at the company's annual conversation event in Sao Paulo, Brazil that the new change is being rolled out in India as well. Now apart from India, this feature is being rolled out in Brazil, Indonesia and Colombia. With this feature, users will get the option to buy a blue tick and in return will be given verification status.

What is Meta Verify service?

Meta announced Meta Verified for creators in February last year. After this, in September last year, at the company's Conversations Conference held in Mumbai, it was told that the Meta Verified service would be expanded to Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp. With this service, creators or users can buy the verification blue tick by paying a fixed membership fee.
The company is offering this service as a subscription bundle and in this, a blue tick starts appearing on both Instagram and Facebook. Now the same blue tick will be available on WhatsApp and the identity of verified accounts will be visible. For this, users have to verify their identity with a government ID.

The advantage of the new change will be that users will be able to identify verified businesses. The company hopes that with its help, scams happening on WhatsApp can also be curbed. The better thing is that those who are already paying for meta-verification will not have to pay extra for WhatsApp verification.
