This new change will be rolled out in India as well, Mark informed at the company's annual meeting in Sao Paulo, Brazil. So apart from India, this new feature will also be made available in Brazil, Indonesia and Colombia. With this new feature, users will get an option to purchase Blue Tick and in return they will be given the facility of Account Verified.

What exactly is Meta Verified Service?

Meta had announced a new feature called Meta Verified for users in February last year. After this, at a company conference held in Mumbai in September last year, the company had announced that the Meta Verified service would be extended to Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp. With this service, creators or users can purchase verified blue ticks by paying certain subscription fees.

The company is offering this service as a subscription bundle. Blue ticks appear on both Instagram and Facebook. Now the same blue tick will be visible on WhatsApp if the account is verified. For this, users will have to verify their identity with a government ID.

The benefit of the new change will be that users will be able to identify verified businesses. The company hopes that with their help, scams on WhatsApp will also be curbed. The good thing is that those who are already paying for Meta Verified won't have to pay extra for WhatsApp Verification.
