Bollywood actress Tripti Dimri, known for her roles in 'Animal' and 'Qala,' has recently purchased a luxurious bungalow in Mumbai’s upscale Bandra West area for Rs 14 crore. According to The Economic Times report, the property, situated off Carter Road, is a ground-plus-two-storey bungalow, encompassing a land area of 2,226 square feet and a built-up area of 2,194 square feet.
The sale agreement was officially registered on June 3, 2024, with Dimri paying a substantial stamp duty of Rs 70 lakh and a registration fee of Rs 30,000, as per property registration documents accessed by IndexTap.com.
Bandra West, particularly known for its prime localities like Carter Road, Bandstand, and Pali Hill, remains a hotspot for Bollywood celebrities. The area boasts high-profile residents such as Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Aamir Khan. In December 2023, Aamir Khan’s housing society made headlines, while Bollywood legend Dilip Kumar’s iconic bungalow in Pali Hill underwent redevelopment. Other notable celebrities residing in the area include Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor, and Janhvi Kapoor.
The real estate market in Bandra West is characterized by high property rates, ranging between Rs 50,000 to Rs 150,000 per square foot. These rates are influenced by factors such as the property’s age, location, and surrounding social infrastructure.
Mumbai's real estate market has seen a surge in high-value transactions in recent months. The report added that in December 2023, actor John Abraham acquired a 5,416 square feet bungalow in Khar for Rs 70.83 crore, which includes a land area of 7,722 square feet. February 2024 saw Girdhari Lal Bawri, managing director of Macleods Pharmaceuticals, purchasing a 3,600 square feet bungalow in Vile Parle for Rs 101 crore.
Bandra West has also witnessed significant property deals recently. In April 2023, Alia Bhatt bought a 2,497 square feet apartment in Aerial View Cooperative Housing Society Limited for Rs 37.80 crore.
