Update Aadhaar Card Online: You can update your Aadhaar card details (proof of identity and address) online for free until June 14, 2024. This is a limited-time service by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). After this date, a fee will apply for updating these details online.

This free service is available exclusively on the myAadhaar portal.

This move is aimed at making the process of updating demographic details easier and more accessible to citizens.

If the card was issued ten years ago, updating demographic details is essential. The process involves uploading Proof of Identity (PoI) and Proof of Address (PoA) documents, which typically cost Rs. 50 at physical Aadhaar centers.

Updating Aadhaar details online is a quick and straightforward process that takes only a few minutes.

Users need scanned copies of their original PoI and PoA documents to update their demographic information.

How To Use myAadhaar Portal To Update Details?

• Step 1: Go here: https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/
• Step 2: Login using your Aadhaar number or Enrolment ID and then select and click on ‘Name/Gender/Date of Birth & Address Update’ button.
• Step 3: Now click on the ‘Update Aadhaar Online’ button.
• Step 4: Select ‘Address’ or name or gender from the list of options and then click ‘Proceed to Update Aadhaar’.
• Step 5: Now an individual needs to upload a scanned copy of the updated proof like address proof in case the address is being updated.
• Step 6: Now there is no payment involved but after June 14, 2024 payment would be collected for this update online.
• Step 7: After this a new webpage would open and it would have a ‘Service Request Number (SRN).
• Save it for future reference.
