WhatsApp New Privacy Feature For Status Update: WhatsApp is testing a new privacy feature for its users. This feature will give the user the freedom to decide who to show his status to and who not to. Meta's instant messaging app has millions of users worldwide. In India too, more than 50 crore people use this app. In such a situation, users keep waiting for the new features of WhatsApp. WhatsApp keeps adding new features to the app as per the demand of its users.

This new privacy feature of WhatsApp has been seen in the Android beta version. According to the report of WABetaInfo, this feature has been seen in Android version 2.24.12.27. In this, while sharing the status, users will be asked from whom to hide it and from whom to show it. Users can show the status to those with whom they want to share it as per their convenience.

A glimpse of this feature has been seen in the screenshot shared by WABetaInfo. While sharing the status, users will be asked if they want to share their status with all contacts or specific contacts. If the user selects all contacts then their status will be visible to all users.

Currently, users see three options when sharing status, including My Contacts, My Contacts Except and Only Share with Specific Contacts. Users can either share their status with everyone except specific contacts or with selected contacts. In the new privacy feature, users will have only two options.

In the All Contacts option, the user will get the option to choose which contact he does not want to share his status with. Whereas, in the Specific Contacts option, the user will get the option to share his status with a limited number of contacts. This clearly means that now users will have to choose one of these two options while sharing their status.
