Rajasthan News: The elderly and children are facing the most difficulty in doing e-KYC of ration card, because the machine is not working due to biometric not being updated in the Aadhaar card or thumb rubbing.
These days, crowds of consumers involved in the National Food Security Scheme are seen at ration shops and Aadhaar centers. After the instructions of the Supreme Court, all the beneficiaries of the Food Security Scheme must get e-KYC done.
The elderly and children are facing the most difficulty in doing e-KYC of ration card, because due to biometric not being updated in the Aadhar card or thumb rubbing, the machine is not working and there is problem in verification.
Verification is being done only through Aadhaar and iris. There is no facility of any kind of OTP etc. During e-KYC in ration card, problems are being seen in the biometrics of children and elderly people.
Due to this, a lot of crowd is being seen at the Aadhar centers these days for biometric update. In view of the crowd of people, Aadhar enrollment and update centers run by the Department of Information and Technology will now open on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. These centers have been given permission to open on holidays. Along with this, their timings have also been changed. Aadhar centers will be open one hour before office time in the morning i.e. from 8:30 am to 7 pm.
